Dear Campus community,
Last night, the message boards on the exterior doors of several student rooms in Flather Hall were defaced with racist and sexist messages. We condemn this conduct, as it violates the respect we have for each person, which is a foundational and cherished value of The Catholic University of America.
While the investigation by the Department of Public Safety continues, DPS believes that the perpetrators were students not from our University. We must remind all members of our community never to permit access to residence halls or any other University buildings to persons whom you do not know.
The Office of the Dean of Students, the Counseling Center, Campus Ministry, and the Center for Cultural Engagement are available to meet with any students affected by these recent events.
